Deut 32:1
הַאֲזִ֥ינוּ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וַאֲדַבֵּ֑רָה וְתִשְׁמַ֥ע הָאָ֖רֶץ אִמְרֵי־פִֽי׃
Deut 32:2
יַעֲרֹ֤ף כַּמָּטָר֙ לִקְחִ֔י תִּזַּ֥ל כַּטַּ֖ל אִמְרָתִ֑י כִּשְׂעִירִ֣ם עֲלֵי־דֶ֔שֶׁא וְכִרְבִיבִ֖ים עֲלֵי־עֵֽשֶׂב׃

כִּ֛י שֵׁ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה אֶקְרָ֑א הָב֥וּ גֹ֖דֶל לֵאלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

הַצּוּר֙ תָּמִ֣ים פָּעֳל֔וֹ כִּ֥י כָל־דְּרָכָ֖יו מִשְׁפָּ֑ט אֵ֤ל אֱמוּנָה֙ וְאֵ֣ין עָ֔וֶל צַדִּ֥יק וְיָשָׁ֖ר הֽוּא׃

שִׁחֵ֥ת ל֛וֹ לֹ֖א בָּנָ֣יו מוּמָ֑ם דּ֥וֹר עִקֵּ֖שׁ וּפְתַלְתֹּֽל׃
Deut 32:6
הֲ־לַיְהוָה֙ תִּגְמְלוּ־זֹ֔את עַ֥ם נָבָ֖ל וְלֹ֣א חָכָ֑ם הֲלוֹא־הוּא֙ אָבִ֣יךָ קָּנֶ֔ךָ ה֥וּא עָֽשְׂךָ֖ וַֽיְכֹנְנֶֽךָ׃
Deut 32:7
זְכֹר֙ יְמ֣וֹת עוֹלָ֔ם בִּ֖ינוּ שְׁנ֣וֹת דּוֹר־וָד֑וֹר שְׁאַ֤ל אָבִ֙יךָ֙ וְיַגֵּ֔דְךָ זְקֵנֶ֖יךָ וְיֹ֥אמְרוּ לָֽךְ׃
Deut 32:8
בְּהַנְחֵ֤ל עֶלְיוֹן֙ גּוֹיִ֔ם בְּהַפְרִיד֖וֹ בְּנֵ֣י אָדָ֑ם יַצֵּב֙ גְּבֻלֹ֣ת עַמִּ֔ים לְמִסְפַּ֖ר בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

כִּ֛י חֵ֥לֶק יְהֹוָ֖ה עַמּ֑וֹ יַעֲקֹ֖ב חֶ֥בֶל נַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃
Deut 32:10
יִמְצָאֵ֙הוּ֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִדְבָּ֔ר וּבְתֹ֖הוּ יְלֵ֣ל יְשִׁמֹ֑ן יְסֹֽבְבֶ֙נְהוּ֙ יְב֣וֹנְנֵ֔הוּ יִצְּרֶ֖נְהוּ כְּאִישׁ֥וֹן עֵינֽוֹ׃
He found him in a land of wilderness and in a formless howling of a desolate place. He surrounded him; He considered him; He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
Paraphrase: YHWH, the Great King, found him wandering helplessly in the wilderness where there was nothing to support him. No one lived there except the wild beasts who prowl about howling and crying to each other. He rescued him and placed His arms around him as a mother does her child. He took a special interest in him and watched over him closely. He carefully guarded His Son, as carefully as one guards and protects his eyes from injury.
Comments:
The verbs יְסֹבְבֶנְהוּ יְבוֹנְנֵהוּ יִצְּרֶנְהוּ are not past tense verbs since there is no vav-conversive. Perhaps the idea here is the frequentative; see §26.
Deut 32:11
כְּנֶ֙שֶׁר֙ יָעִ֣יר קִנּ֔וֹ עַל־גּוֹזָלָ֖יו יְרַחֵ֑ף יִפְרֹ֤שׂ כְּנָפָיו֙ יִקָּחֵ֔הוּ יִשָּׂאֵ֖הוּ עַל־אֶבְרָתֽוֹ׃
As a vulture stirs up his nest; over his baby birds he hovers; he spreads his wings; he takes him up; he carries him on his pinions.
Paraphrase: YHWH cares for his people like the vultures care for their young. You’ve seen how they fly into their nests and stir up their babies forcing them to try their own wings. Out of their nest they fly on their maiden voyage. They soon, however, grow weary and being to fall. Then, the mother vulture swoops down beneath them and carries them back up to safety.

“The mother started from the nest in the crags and, roughly handling the youngster, she allowed him to drop, I should say, about ninety feet; then she would swoop down under him, wings spread, and he would alight on her back. She would soar to the top of the range with him and repeat the process. Once perhaps she waited fifteen minutes between flights. I should say the farthest she let him fall was a hundred and fifty feet. My father and I watched him, spellbound, for over an hour.” See Christensen on this verse in his commentary on Deuteronomy.
Deut 32:12
יְהוָ֖ה בָּדָ֣ד יַנְחֶ֑נּוּ וְאֵ֥ין עִמּ֖וֹ אֵ֥ל נֵכָֽר׃
YHWH alone guided him, and there was no foreign god with him.
Paraphrase: Throughout this vast wilderness, YHWH, the Great King, led His son. No one helped Him; no one told Him the right way to take. None of the gods of the nations were of any use at all. He led them by a straight way, to go to an inhabited city. (Psalm 107:7)
Comments:
The word order here is noteworthy. Ewald writes:
By putting the subject first and the predicate afterwards, the action, its development, and its progress do not come into the foreground, as in ordinary narrative discourse; but the person is placed first, by himself, in order to be immediately thereafter more fully described and depicted as he is; and the whole proposition, in a manner quite the opposite of the usual narrative style, presents us with a harmonious and placid picture of something continuous, permanent, just as the speaker conceives it. This inverse arrangement of words for the purpose mentioned, is, accordingly, of the highest importance and significance throughout the whole language: it is substantially carried out in the Arabic also, and is thus one of the most important peculiarities of the Semitic. source
Deut 32:13
יַרְכִּבֵ֙הוּ֙ עַל־בָּמוֹתֵי אָ֔רֶץ וַיֹּאכַ֖ל תְּנוּבֹ֣ת שָׂדָ֑י וַיֵּנִקֵ֤הֽוּ דְבַשׁ֙ מִסֶּ֔לַע וְשֶׁ֖מֶן מֵחַלְמִ֥ישׁ צֽוּר׃
He caused him to ride on the high places of the land, and he ate the produce of the field; He caused him to suck honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock.
Paraphrase: Further, YHWH gave him the most important places in the land. He ate the best of the food; he even found honey and oil in the most unlikely of places.

Deut 32:52 כִּ֥י מִנֶּ֖גֶד תִּרְאֶ֣ה אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ לֹ֣א תָב֔וֹא אֶל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֥י נֹתֵ֖ן לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃פ
