A preposition is a part of speech that shows relationships. video  Words such as in, under, above, through, below, etc are prepositions.  A preposition with its OP makes up a prepositional phrase.  An OP will always be in the objective case.

 


Greek:

Unlike English prepositions, the meaning of Greek prepositions changes based on the case of the OP.

  • δια + genitive OP has the meaning of “through”
  • δια + accusative OP has the meaning of “on account of”
