What is ordination?
Ordination is that formal process by which a believer is appointed to a specific task in the church of God.
Where does the Bible speak of this process?
The Bible speaks of the ordination of Moses and Aaron, the Levites, Joshua, the seventy, and various prophets. In the New Testament, we can read about the ordination of the twelve apostles, Matthias, the seven, Paul & Barnabas, Timothy, and the elders of a church.
