Ephesians 2:1

Ephesians 2:10
αὐτοῦ γάρ ἐσμεν ποίημα, κτισθέντες ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ ἐπὶ ἔργοις ἀγαθοῖς οἷς προητοίμασεν ὁ θεὸς ἵνα ἐν αὐτοῖς περιπατήσωμεν.
For we are His project being created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared before in order that in them we might walk.
Paraphrase: Now this salvation which we have by our union with Christ and which God freely gives us has its purpose. God did not forgive our sins for Christ’s sake simply as an end in itself; He had a larger purpose in view. This being set free from the guilt of sin was part of God’s larger plan to sanctify His people and to restore them into His own image. (Ephesians 1:4; Colossians 3:10) In fact, the very good works which God calls us to do were written into His eternal covenant of grace which He made with His Son (Luke 22:29) long before the world was ever created. God planned out the very lifestyle He intends for His people to lead. He set us free from the guilt of sin so that He might break the power of sin in our life and set our feet on a new path, a path of righteous living. (Titus 2:11-12)

Ephesians 2:19
ἄρα οὖν οὐκέτι ἐστὲ ξένοι καὶ πάροικοι, ἀλλὰ ἐστὲ συμπολῖται τῶν ἁγίων καὶ οἰκεῖοι τοῦ θεοῦ,
Therefore then, you are no longer strangers and foreigners but you are fellow-citizens of the holy ones and family of God.
Paraphrase: Now what is the happy result of this work of Christ? It means that you Gentiles are no longer outsiders but full members of God’s family. You are the adopted sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, with all the rights and privileges belonging to the children of the family. To put it another way, you now have the same citizenship as all the other members of God’s kingdom. There are no second class citizens in the kingdom of God.

Thayer says (right column p71) that ἄρα οὖν is unique to Paul. ἄρα he says is illative and οὖν continuative.
Ephesians 2:20
ἐποικοδομηθέντες ἐπὶ τῷ θεμελίῳ τῶν ἀποστόλων καὶ προφητῶν, ὄντος ἀκρογωνιαίου αὐτοῦ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ,
being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets Christ Jesus being its cornerstone.
Paraphrase: If our salvation rested on obedience to all the Jewish laws and rituals, then you would still be outsiders. But now, the church of God rests on a new and different foundation. Like a beautiful house, the church of God has a foundation, and this foundation is the teaching of the apostles and prophets. By apostles, I mean those men who were eyewitnesses of Jesus after His resurrection. By prophets, I mean those saints of God who receive their teaching directly from the Spirit of God. (Acts 11:27; 13:1; 15:32; 21:10) This teaching is the standard for all that we believe and practice. Furthermore, these massive foundation stones are dependent on the Cornerstone who is Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:21
ἐν ᾧ πᾶσα οἰκοδομὴ συναρμολογουμένη αὔξει εἰς ναὸν ἅγιον ἐν κυρίῳ,
in whom the entire building, being fastened together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord.
Paraphrase: In saying that Jesus is the Cornerstone, I mean to say this. At the corner of our buildings, the builders place a special stone. It has to be a strong and large stone as well as having a specific shape such that it fits perfectly in the corner. This stone then guides the builders in the construction of the rest of the building by setting the correct angle and level for all the rest of the stones which follow. Now in the same way, it is in Jesus that the “two walls” of Jew and gentile come together to make one beautiful building. The result is that believers, even though they all come from many different ethnic backgrounds and all have a different story, still form one, glorious, beautiful temple to the praise of God.

Ephesians 2:22
ἐν ᾧ καὶ ὑμεῖς συνοικοδομεῖσθε εἰς κατοικητήριον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν πνεύματι.
in whom, even you are being built together into a house of God by the Spirit.
Paraphrase: All this happens when a person is brought into a saving union with Jesus Christ. Each individual believer becomes a building block in this house. The Holy Spirit carefully fashions each stone for a specific place in this building. Altogether, these stones make up a beautiful temple (1 Corinthians 3:16) where the glory of God is displayed to all the nations.
