Matthew 13:1
Ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ, ἐξελθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τῆς οἰκίας, ἐκάθητο παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν.
On that day, departing from the house, Jesus was sitting by the lake.

ἐξελθὼν can’t be a participle of attendant circumstance because ἐκάθητο is not aorist (GGBB 759). The sense here is probably temporal, “…day, after departing from the…”
Matthew 13:2
καὶ συνήχθησαν πρὸς αὐτὸν ὄχλοι πολλοί, ὥστε αὐτὸν εἰς πλοῖον ἐμβάντα καθῆσθαι, καὶ πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἐπὶ τὸν αἰγιαλὸν εἱστήκει.

Matthew 13:24

Another parable, He presented to them saying, “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a man sowing good seed in his field.
Paraphrase: Jesus continued to teach His disciples about the kingdom He had come to announce. This time, he compared His kingdom to a man who had some choice wheat seeds which he was saving for a particular field. The day came when he took this choice seed and carefully sowed it into the field he had chosen for it.

But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed darnel alongside of the wheat and departed.
Paraphrase: Soon after this, however, one of his rivals snuck into the field at night, while the hired hands were sleeping. Right on top of all this wheat, he threw handfuls of darnel. Once the act of vandalism was complete, he fled away completely unnoticed.

Matthew 13:26
ὅτε δὲ ἐβλάστησεν ὁ χόρτος καὶ καρπὸν ἐποίησεν, τότε ἐφάνη καὶ τὰ ζιζάνια.
But when the sprout came up and made fruit, then was visible even the darnel.
Paraphrase: Finally the day came when the first sprouts of wheat began to show themselves in the field. The farmer was grateful as day after day the sprouts grew taller and stronger. Then the first signs of heads of wheat began to show themselves at the top of the stalks. It was at this point, however, that some of the plants, which looked for all the world like regular wheat, began to show itself to be something else. In dismay and indignation, the hired hands made the discovery. Someone had sown darnel into their field of wheat.

Matthew 13:28
Ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτοῖς, Ἐχθρὸς, ἄνθρωπος τοῦτο ἐποίησεν. Οἱ δὲ δοῦλοι αὐτῷ λέγουσιν, Θέλεις οὖν ἀπελθόντες, συλλέξωμεν αὐτά;
But he said to them, “An enemy person did this.” Then the slaves to him said, “Do you want, therefore, going, we might gather them?”
Paraphrase: The man shook his head in dismay. “My enemy has done this.” he said, “He must have come while we were sleeping and thrown darnel seeds into our field.”
The supervisor of the field workers jumped up in indignation, “Come on, men!” he shouted, “There’s still time. We’ll put in some extra hours today and get all that darnel out of the fields, gather it up in piles, and burn it. What do you think, boss?! Do you think it will work?”

But he said, “No, lest when gathering the darnel, you uproot, at the same time, with them, the wheat.”
Paraphrase: “No, this is not a good idea, men.” said the farmer. “By now, the roots of the darnel will be so intertwined with the wheat that in pulling up the darnel, you will almost certainly pull up good wheat as well.

Matthew 13:30
ἄφετε συναυξάνεσθαι ἀμφότερα ἕως τοῦ θερισμοῦ· καὶ ἐν καιρῷ τοῦ θερισμοῦ ἐρῶ τοῖς θερισταῖς, Συλλέξατε πρῶτον τὰ ζιζάνια, καὶ δήσατε αὐτὰ εἰς δέσμας πρὸς τὸ κατακαῦσαι αὐτά· τὸν δὲ σῖτον, συναγάγετε εἰς τὴν ἀποθήκην μου.
Leave to grow together both until the harvest and, at the time of harvest, I will order the reapers, “Gather first the darnel and tie them up into bundles so that they might be burned, but the wheat, gather into my barn.”
Paraphrase: Let’s do this; let both grow together in the field until we decide that the wheat is ready for harvesting. At this time, I will tell the reapers to first gather up all the darnel. There will be no trouble in distinguishing it from the wheat at this stage. We will tie up the darnel into bundles and pile them up for burning. Then, we will return to the field and gather out of it all the wheat and store that in my barn as usual.”

Then dismissing the crowds, He went into the house, and His disciples came to Him saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.”
Paraphrase: When Jesus finished His teaching, he prayed with the people and sent them away. Weary with the days work, he went to the place where He was staying and sat down to rest. His disciples, however, were bursting with curiosity. They went to Him and urgently asked Him to explain what the parable of the darnel was all about. “What were You trying to tell us with this parable?!” they asked eagerly.

Then answering, He said, “The one sowing the good seed is the Son of Man.”
Paraphrase: Jesus sat up and summoned them to gather around. “Listen,” He said, “I want you to understand this parable correctly. (Matthew 13:11) Let me explain it. First, understand that the farmer who sowed the choice seed in His field is the Son of Man. Yes, I am the Good Shepherd; I am also the Good Planter.

And the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, and the darnel are the sons of the Evil One.
Paraphrase: Then you have the field which represents the world at large. Into this world, the choice seed is cast which brings forth good wheat plants, heavy with grain. These seeds represent those who have been born from above and are now citizens of My kingdom. Then, the darnel seeds and the plants which spring from them, are the children of the devil. Both of these plants grow together in the same field and are virtually indistinguishable until they mature.

Then the enemy, sowing the them, is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
Paraphrase: The enemy, who sowed these darnel seeds, is the devil. The harvest is the last great day, when this dispensation will come to a close and God will bring every person to judgment. Finally, the reapers; these are God’s angels who will carry out the sentence of the Judge. They will drag the wicked to their place of torment, and the righteous will be brought to their eternal home.

Ὥσπερ οὖν συλλέγεται τὰ ζιζάνια, καὶ πυρὶ κατακαίεται, οὕτως ἔσται ἐν τῇ συντελείᾳ τοῦ αἰῶνος.

Every wolf (Acts 20:28–29), every false brother (Galatians 2:4), every unbeliever (1 Corinthians 14:23), and any ungodly men who may have snuck in (Jude 4) will be discovered and…

Robertson betrays (p110) his Baptist bias with this comment:
What this means is that, just as the wheat and the darnel are mixed together in the field till the separation at harvest, so the evil are mixed with the good in the world (the field). Jesus does not mean to say that these “stumbling-blocks” (τα σκανδαλα) are actually in the Kingdom of heaven and really members of the Kingdom. They are simply mixed in the field with the wheat and God leaves them in the world till the separation comes. Their destiny is “the furnace of fire” (την καμινον του πυρος).
But the text does say very explicitly that there is darnel in the kingdom of God (ἐκ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ) and that it is only at the end of this age, that the angels will remove it and consign it to hell. Strong claims (p888) that this parable does not give us a reason why we should not try to put the wicked out of the church, but why God does not immediately put them out of the world. But Jesus told His disciples Leave both to grow together until the harvest… To whom was this command given then? Hodge explains (p548) why such “pure church” theology is inconsistent with Jesus’ teaching here; see also Macpherson p421. This text was also used in the Donatist controversy p126.
Matthew 13:42
καὶ βαλοῦσιν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν κάμινον τοῦ πυρός· ἐκεῖ ἔσται ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων.
And they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Paraphrase: …carried off to eternal destruction and punishment under the fiery wrath of God. The suffering in that place will be unspeakable; people will weep and gnash their teeth with remorse and self-loathing.

Then the just will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one having ears, let him hear!
Paraphrase: The righteous, however, will have a very different outcome. They will be ushered into the ultimate consummation of God’s kingdom where they will shine as brightly as the sun. Oh how their glory will blaze forth and be an astonishment to them. If anyone is listening, let him weigh these words carefully. LOOK! Matthew 13:54 καὶ ἐλθὼν εἰς τὴν πατρίδα αὐτοῦ, ἐδίδασκεν αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ αὐτῶν, ὥστε ἐκπλήσσεσθαι αὐτοὺς καὶ λέγειν, Πόθεν τούτῳ ἡ σοφία αὕτη καὶ αἱ δυνάμεις;
Matthew 13:55 οὐχ οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ τοῦ τέκτονος υἱός; οὐχ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ λέγεται Μαριὰμ; καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ Ἰάκωβος καὶ Ἰωσὴφ καὶ Σίμων καὶ Ἰούδας;
Matthew 13:56 καὶ αἱ ἀδελφαὶ αὐτοῦ οὐχὶ πᾶσαι πρὸς ἡμᾶς εἰσιν; πόθεν οὖν τούτῳ ταῦτα πάντα;
Matthew 13:57 καὶ ἐσκανδαλίζοντο ἐν αὐτῷ. Ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, Οὐκ ἔστιν προφήτης ἄτιμος, εἰ μὴ ἐν τῇ πατρίδι, καὶ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ.
Matthew 13:58 καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησεν ἐκεῖ δυνάμεις πολλὰς, διὰ τὴν ἀπιστίαν αὐτῶν.
