כל

This word seems like an adjective but is actually a noun.  כל is used in three different ways:

1. It can be a substantive in which case it is functioning as a noun and means “everyone”, “everything”, or “all”.
2. It can be in construct with an articular noun in which case it means “all of” or “the whole of”.
3. It can be in construct with an anarthrous noun in which case it means “every” or “each”.
