Luke 8:5

Luke 8:9
Ἐπηρώτων δὲ αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ, Τίς αὕτη εἴη, ἡ παραβολή;
Luke 8:10

Luke 8:25
Εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς, Ποῦ ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν; Φοβηθέντες δὲ, ἐθαύμασαν, λέγοντες πρὸς ἀλλήλους, Τίς ἄρα οὗτός ἐστιν, ὅτι καὶ τοῖς ἀνέμοις ἐπιτάσσει καὶ τῷ ὕδατι, καὶ ὑπακούουσιν αὐτῷ;

Luke 8:28

When Jesus returned, the crowd welcome Him, for all were expecting Him.
Paraphrase: When Jesus had returned to Judea from the the region of the Gerasenes, He was swarmed by cheering crowds of people. They had been eagerly anticipating His return to Judea.
Comments:
For infinitives with εν, Burton §415. The accusative Ἰησοῦν is the agent of the infinitive.
προσδοκῶντες is a periphrastic with ἦσαν. BBG 30.14
Luke 8:41
and behold, a man named Jairus came, and this man was a ruler of the synagogue and falling at the feet of Jesus, he begged Him to enter into his house.
Paraphrase: As Jesus was making His way through the crowds, a man confronted him. Everyone near to Jesus at the time was surprised to see that it was none other than Jairus, an elder in the synagogue. This important and dignified man fell at Jesus feet obviously in great distress. He pleased with Jesus to follow him to his house.
Comments:
The same construction as ᾧ ὄνομα Ἰάϊρος is often seen in Hebrew.
Farrar writes: “The synagogues had no clergy, but were managed by laymen, at the head of whom was the “ruler,” whose title of Rosh hakkenéseth was as familiar to the Jews as that of Rabbi. His responsibilities resembled those of a leading elder.” source
Luke 8:42
because his only daughter was to him about twelve years and she was dying. Now when he led Him, the crowds were pressing upon Him.
Paraphrase: The whole story then spilled out. In great anguish, Jairus told Jesus that his precious daughter, only 12 years old, was dying. Now he begged Jesus to hurry to his house before it was too late. Immediately, Jesus turned about and began to follow the man. Progress was slow, however, and the crowds were pressing so hard on Jesus that He was practically being choked.
Comments:
Here is another infinitive with εν, see Burton §415. The accusative αὐτὸν is the agent of this infinitive.
Note as well the imperfects here.
Luke 8:43
and a woman, being in hemorrhage of blood from twelve, which on doctors spending all her living, was not able by them to be healed.
Paraphrase: Now as Jesus was busily making his way through the crowd and trying to keep up with Jairus, there was a woman in the crowd with a bleeding disorder. This woman had exhausted every opportunity to be healed of her sickness with no success at all.
Comments:
The article in τὸν βίον is a possessive pronoun.
Luke 8:44
approaching behind, she touched the edge of His clothing and immediately the hemorrhaging of her blood stood still.
Paraphrase: This woman approached Jesus from behind where no one would notice her. She cautiously reached out her hand and touched Jesus’ clothes. The change was immediate. She knew instantly that she had been healed. Her body stopped bleeding, and her disorder was no more.

Luke 8:45
and Jesus said, “Who was laying hold of Me?” but all were denying. Peter said, “Master, the crowds are hemming you in and they press hard.
Paraphrase: Suddenly Jesus stopped and looked about. “Who touched Me?” He asked. Everyone shook their head. Peter was even a bit irritated by the question and blurted out, “Master, everyone is crowded together and bumping into each other constantly; are you really asking who touched you?”

Dalman says that the word επιστάτα (six times in Luke) is a synonym for διδασκαλε and that both terms come from the Aramaic רבּי. source
Luke 8:46
But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I have experienced power passing out of Me.”
Paraphrase: Jesus insisted, however, that someone had indeed touched Him and that it was no ordinary touch. “It was no ordinary touch,” said Jesus, “because I felt divine power flowing out of Me!”

Luke 8:47
The woman, seeing that she was not hidden, came trembling and falling before Him. Before all the people, she reported on account of what reason she touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
Paraphrase: The woman now realized that she had been discovered and that she could remain hidden no longer. She came around to the front of Jesus shaking with embarrassment and shame. In front of all the people, she fell at Jesus’ feet and told how she had been instantly healed of her bleeding disorder.
Comments:
Farrar suggests that the woman’s shame may have come from the fact that she was considered to be unclean and thus would have made Jesus unclean by her touch.
Because by her touch she had communicated to Him Levitical uncleanness; and this by one of the Rabbis or Pharisees would have been regarded as an intolerable act of presumption and injury. To this day the Jewish Rabbis (or Chakams) in the East are careful not even to be touched by a woman’s dress. source
Luke 8:48
but He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Paraphrase: Jesus was overjoyed at what this woman had done. He exclaimed, “My daughter, your faith has directed you to exactly the right place. Your faith has connected you to the very power of God Himself; and because of this, you have been healed not only of your bleeding, but of your guilt before God. Now you can go in peace knowing that you have been reconciled to God. God is now your heavenly Father, I am your loving Savior, and the Holy Spirit is dwelling within you as your Sanctifier.”

While he was speaking, someone comes from the leader of the synagogue saying, “Your daughter is dead; no longer trouble the teacher.”
Paraphrase: While Jesus was still encouraging the woman and bidding her well, a messenger came from the house of Jairus and spoke to him. “Your daughter has died. There is no longer any need for the Teacher; you had might as well come home and let Jesus go His way. Nothing more can be done for her.”

but Jesus, hearing, answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be saved.”
Paraphrase: Jairus staggered when he heard the report. When Jesus heard it, however, He quickly stepped forward to steady Jairus. He looked Jairus straight in the eye and said, “Don’t let this news terrify you or cause you to lose hope for your daughter. Keep looking to Me. If you are looking to humans for help, you are right to despair; but if your eye is upon God and His power, then all things are possible. (Mt 19:26) Never lose your confidence in My power to deliver! If you believe, you daughter can be healed just as I healed this woman from her bleeding disorder. Remember the fundamental law of the kingdom of God, ‘All things are possible to the one who believes.’ (Mark 9:23)”
