Talking Things Over:
- Jesus gave the Lord’s Supper at the time of the Passover. Do you know why God gave the Passover to the
Jews? How does the Lord’s Supper point to a far
greater deliverance than the Jews received? - Jesus told us to keep this Supper faithfully. He even said to do it often. But He did not tell us exactly how often.
- Do you think four or six times a year is enough?
- To examine our hearts and lives is to “test” them in the light of God’s will for us. How do you learn about this? And what do you find?
- Can you receive a blessing from the Lord’s Supper even though you are not yet partaking of bread and wine?
Words to Remember:
- Passover – the Jewish feast in which the people remembered how God rescued them from slavery in Egypt.
- Confess – means “to say the same things” that God says about Him, about ourselves, and about the way of salvation.
