definite

A definite noun is a noun which is specific and identifiable in a given context as opposed to entities which are indefinite (cf indefinite pronoun).  Usually a noun is made definite by the use of the article, but there are many other ways of making a noun definite.  A noun is definite:

  1. If it is articular;
  2. If it is a proper noun.

Hebrew:

  1. If it is in construct with an articular noun;
  2. If it is in construct with a proper noun, more;
  3. If it has a pronominal suffix;
