number

Number is a grammatical category which distinguishes whether a word is singular (sg) or plural (pl).  A collective noun is a noun that has a plurality of members but is singular in spelling; i.e. flock, class, herd, etc.   cf. cardinal and ordinal

Both masculine and feminine nouns in Hebrew can be “dual.”  They are distinguished by a yod mem ending.  video
